- Ted DiBiase Sr. came out and announced that Cody Rhodes will face Mark Henry and Ted DiBiase Jr. will face Randy Orton. Neither Legacy member were happy about this. Ted Sr. also made Chris Jericho & Edge vs. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes for the tag titles at Night of Champions.

- Edge & Chris Jericho defeated The Colons in a non-title match. The finish saw Primo distract the ref which allowed the double team for the pin. Post-match, Carlito turned on his brother.

- Gail Kim & Mickie James defeated Maryse & Alicia Fox when Kim pinned Maryse.

- Cody tried to get out of his match with Mark Henry later on, but Ted Sr. told him no. DiBiase was upset that he isn’t in the Hall of Fame, yet Cody’s dad, Dusty Rhodes, was.

- Mark Henry defeated Cody Rhodes via count out. After taking the World’s Strongest Slam, Cody rolled to the floor and walked to the back.

- Randy Orton defeated Ted DiBiase Jr.

- Jack Swagger was the guest on the VIP Lounge. MVP made fun of Swagger for going to the University of Oklahoma, so Swagger ripped into MVP for being a criminal. MVP was about to fight Swagger, but Swagger walked away.

- Ted Jr. was upset with his dad for booking the match with Orton earlier, so he slapped Sr. in the face.

- Evan Bourne defeated Kofi Kingston in a non-title match. After the match Big Show destroyed both men.

- John Cena and Triple H went to a no contest. Rhodes and DiBiase ran in to end the match. Randy Orton said since both men didn’t win, he didn’t have to face anyone at Night of Champions. Ted Sr. came out and said that he did, and it’ll be a 3-way at Night of Champions between Orton, HHH and Cena.
