During the Summerslam card run down, Shawn Michaels was making shadow puppets. HBK pressed a button and broke it. Before he was a chef, he was a TV repair man, so he fixed it – but he failed. This opening skit is just proof there will be no heel turn.

- Intercontinental Championship: Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph’s got to win here, or any momentum he had really is over. Ziggler has the advantage early on, being more aggressive and going for pins. Rey was springboarded onto the top rope and then moonsaulted onto Dolph. Real cool spot.

Rey hurricanranaed Dolph from the apron. Ziggler caught Rey coming off the top rope and powerbombed him onto the top turnbuckle. Ziggler is working over Mysterio’s neck. Rey tried to make a comeback, but Dolph drilled him with a clothesline.

Gutbuster by Dolph Ziggler. Another pin and another 2 count. Todd told a story about Rey’s tattoo on the side of his body. It’s one of fan’s prayers, it touched him so much. Rey springboarded off the middle rope but was met with Ziggler’s dropkick.

Rey was going through the middle rope when Ziggler booted him in the head. Ziggler had Rey on his shoulders, and as he tried the gutbuster, Rey turned it into a hurricanrana. Mysterio got the pin for the win.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

Real good match. Much better than their Night of Champions match, and easily Dolph Ziggler’s best match to date. He should have won, though.

Jack Swagger and MVP join Josh Matthews. Swagger praised himself and ripped on MVP’s past as an ex-con. MVP cut a great promo on his past and these two’s culture clash.

- Jack Swagger vs. MVP

Michael Cole put this match over as a match that the winner could be a shot to superstardom.

Swagger shot in for a takedown, but MVP countered it into a roll up. MVP went for the ballin elbow early, but Swagger rolled out. MVP dived onto him on the outside. Swagger swept MVP off the second rope and took control of the match.

Swagger was extremely quick in ducking a MVP punch and turned it into a abdominal stretch. Crowd isn’t as into this match as much as they were for the opener. Nether of these guys are stars to them.

Electric chair by MVP onto Swagger. MVP set Swagger up for the ballin elbow and hit it. Swagger countered the playmaker and rammed MVP into the corner. MVP got his knees up for the running Vader Bomb. Playmaker.

Winner: MVP

Not a poor match, but isn’t anything special. Hooly said Swagger should be moved to Smackdown, I totally agree.

Luke Perry is in the crowd. Video recapping past guest hosts of Raw. Nancy O’Dell was in the crowd. Freddie Prince Jr. is in the crowd, too. She interviewed him, nothing of note. I still can’t believe how much he has aged.

- Unified Tag Team Championships: Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Cryme Tyme

Chris Jericho grabbed the mic and ripped into celebrities. Someone has a RVD Sucks sign. Haha. Cryme Tyme interrupted Big Show as he was about to talk. JTG and Jericho started and had a nice exchange. Jericho went for the walls of Jericho, but JTG put an end to that.

Big Show tagged in and got a face reaction of all things. Big Show has a side headlock on JTG. Show and Shad are going at it. Shad tried to know Show down, but couldn’t. Shad press slammed Jericho, but was hit with a shoulder tackle by Show.

Shad was cornered by Jerishow. JTG made the hot tag but no one cared. I’m all for Jericho and Show being tag champs, but there is no face team being care about.

Big Show was taken out by Shad, and JTG rolled up Jericho. Close 2 count. Walls of Jericho. JTG refused to tap and worked hard to the second rope. He got there. KNOCKOUT PUNCH by Big Show.

CM Punk was interviewed by Josh Matthews. He has a copy of Jeff’s screenplay. The ending is him beating his demons and CM Punk. Punk ripped on the world for loving a guy like Jeff Hardy, not him.

Winner: Kane

A shot of Vince McMahon’s star. SLASH~! is there.

- DX vs. Legacy

Looks like it won’t be the main event. The arena is all dark as DX’s new, remixed theme plays. Cool pyro show, too. The Army is out there. THEY’RE OPENING FIRE!!! WOAH, the stage is opening for DX who come out on a tank. I hope X-Pac is driving. Shawn is shotting fireworks from the gun.

ARE YOU READY? Yes, you’ve taken 10 minutes to fucking come out. HHH and Ted DiBiase are starting. Back and forth behind the two for a while. Cody came in and was kneed in the face. Cody slapped Shawn. HHH tagged his partner in.

Cody ducked a punch and slapped Shawn again. Cody and Ted regrouped on the outside. Despite that, Michaels still had Ted under control. Wait, a whip and clothesline. YAY Legacy. Legacy cornered the returning HBK.

Josh Matthews just joined Matt Striker at ringside, so the ECW title match must be next. Also, as Shawn Michaels is being cornered and is selling, I thought I’d mention that Beth Phoenix won the 15-diva battle royal before the show.

Michaels made the hot tag to HHH and The Game ran wild. Arn Anderson Spinebusters everywhere. Shawn was launched onto Cody on the outside. Low blow by DiBiase. Legacy are double teaming HHH. Triple H is figure tips away from a tag to HBK.

Backdrop by HHH. Cody cuts off HHH making a tag with a DDT. Triple fights out of a front face lock and goes for the tag. Ted cuts it off by attacking Michaels. BOO! YAY! Punches. HHH sends DiBiase packing as he crawls to make the tag to HBK.

Ted tags Cody but it was too late, HHH tagged out. Pretty great build up to the hot tag. HBK nipped up and was killed with a clothesline by Legacy. Ted attacked DiBiase from behind and dumped him out of the ringside area.

Cody missed the elbow from the top when HBK moved. HBK went for the elbow, but Cody cut Shawn off. Cody was knocked off the top rope, allowing HBK to hit the elbow. But Rhodes got the knees up. Ted’s still dead on the outside. Figure four by HBK. TED! Ted breaks it up.

Ted blocks the pedigree and Cody jumps HHH. Rhodes blocks the sweet chin music. Crossroads by Cody. Close 2, when HHH broke it up. Ted distracted the ref which let HHH hit the pedigree on Cody. HHH distracted the ref to let Ted hit the dreamstreet on HBK.

HHH took Ted out and brawled with him on the outside. Cody and Michaels slowly got up, lenaing on each other. Sweet chin music. It’s over.

Winners: DX

- ECW Championship: Christian vs. William Regal

Got a feeling these two won’t get the time their match deserves. Regal is out there with his boys, Zeke Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov. Regal in robe was hit with the killswitch. What the fuck. Bullshit.

Winner: Christian

Zeke and Vladimir attacked Christian. Regal slapped on the STF. Christ, I knew it wouldn’t be long, but Jesus. These two could have torn it up.

Video of WWE’s weekend in LA.

- WWE Championship: Randy Orton vs. John Cena

UFC Star TITO ORTIZ is in the crowd, behind Freddie Prince Jr. They didn’t make any mention of him, he got into shot and started posing like a mark.

Cena took Orton down to start the match. Dueling chants. I want more Tito Ortiz acting like a mark. Cena fired out of the corner and went wild on Orton. Only a 2. Orton has regained control of and match and is slowly picking Cena apart.

Orton is checking his mouth and spitting, he must have caught a stiff shot from Cena. Or he’s a fucking excellent worker. Maybe both. It’s a real slow pace, but has a main event feel to it. It’s sort of like an old, 80s main event. Crowd is fully behind Orton by the way.

Orton’s got his chinlock applied deep on Cena. Cena’s out and hitting shoulder blocks and backdrops. 5 knuckle shuffle. FU, no. Scoop slam by Orton. 2. Garvin stomps. Cena moved out of the way of a knee and the crowd booed.

Cena goes for the FU, Orton gets out of it. Double clothesline. Boo, yay punches. Orton was backdropped and pushed the ref. Orton rolled out of the ring and got his belt. The belt rung for a DQ. Lillian goes “And New WWE Champion, Randy Orton”. Glad you’re leaving, darling.

According to Vince McMahon, this match is restarting, and if he gets DQ’d, the title changes. Cena is all over Orton in the ring and outside. He got whipped into the steel steps. Orton is going for quick pins. Orton had enough and grabbed his belt again. He walked out as the ref counted him out.

Vince has restarted it again, if Orton is counted out, he loses the belt. Cena has got to be winning. STF. NO. FU. NO. Roll up, he had his feet on the ropes. HAHA. The Fuck?! Another ref, he’s telling the oringal ref about the feet on the ropes. It’s restarted. Cena has the STF locked in. Orton is trying to get to the ropes, but Cena drags him back in the center.

As Orton was about to tap, a fan hit the ring and grabbed the ref. The match continues. Orton hit a RKO on the middle rope. RKO IN THE RING. YES! ORTON WINS.

Winner: Randy Orton

- World Heavyweight Championship: TLC – Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk

Two years ago, if you told me CM Punk would be main eventing Summerslam, I’d laugh in your face. Got to be a huge thing for a lifelong wrestling fan like Punk is to be main eventing Summerslam. Hopefully goes all out in one of his last matches. This is only the 8th TLC match, I find that hard to believe.

Punk has the early advantage, as he’s beating down Hardy. Punk has a chair which he rams into the gut of Hardy. Punk grabs a ladder and goes for the belt. Jeff pushes the ladder over and fires up on Punk.

Hardy’s going up the ladder, but Punk boots the ladder which makes Jeff fall. GTS is blocked and Punk is set into the ladder. Jeff went for the whisper in the wind, but Punk caught him and dropped him right onto the edge of a set up chair. That has GOT to hurt.

Jeff dodged going into the corner, but ran right into a heel kick by CM Punk. Dive through the ropes onto Hardy by Punk. Punk missed a chair shot and hit the ringpost instead. Punk dodges going into the steps, but gets nailed with a chair.

Whisper in the wind is hit by Hardy on the outside. Jeff sets Punk up on a table, and he goes to top. He goes for splash, but Punk moves. Punk grabs a ladder and sets up to make a run for the gold. Hardy stopped him and went up himself. He touched the belt, but Punk grabbed him for the GTS. Jeff reversed it into a powerbomb.

Jeff slowly goes for the title, but Punk shoves Hardy off the ladder. Jeff hit the ropes hard. Punk hit a superplex from the top. Both men felt that. Twist of fate out of nowhere. Swanton Bomb. Punk got the knees up. Running knee to the corner. Bulldog, no. Punk is thrown out of the ring threw a table.

Jeff sets up a ladder, but Punk springboards off the top to cut Hardy off. Punk sets the chair up on Hardy’s neck, but Jeff blocks it and sends Punk into the steps. Hardy batters Punk with chair shots. Monitor to the head of Punk. Punk is on the ECW table. Unprotected chair to the head of Punk. Hardy is setting up a giant ladder. SWANTON BOMB! Crowd is going bananas. The refs are calling for help.

There is stretchers out there for both men. Jeff has a neck brace on but is refusing help as Punk goes for the ladder. Jeff gets off the stretcher and tries to get back into the ring, but he’s hurting. Both men are. Punk is desperately climbing with one leg. They’re both on the ladder. Trading punches. Punk knocks Hardy off the top and gets the belt.

Winner: CM Punk

The lights flickered as Punk stood over Jeff Hardy. THE GONG. DARKNESS. Undertaker is laying where Jeff Hardy was. The crowd is going wild. Chokeslam. UNDERTAKER IS BACK.
