The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that some early ideas being floated around as far as plans for WWE NXT are to somehow do a Sci-Fi version of wrestling.

One of the original plans when ECW got onto the Syfy network back in 2006 was to incorporate some of the Sci-Fi elements of the network.

There has also been talk of a reality show type deal. Another idea being battled around is to have NXT as an interactive show.
