Federal police spokesman for North Rhine-Wesphalia state, Rainer Kerstiens, told Deutsche Welle it appeared to be an attack and a search was still underway.
The first video from inside the station tonight showed pools of blood all over the station concourse floor, The Mirror reported. "I have experienced a lot, but I have never experienced it", the witness said.
