Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia releases in Europe on May 19

Nintendo loves to put together nice packages for their game releases and then truly stick to the "limited" part of "limited edition". As they level up, you can also save Alm or Celica's stats to their Amiibo, which empowers the summoned unit.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia launches on May 19 for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

In case you missed it, you can find some details of Fire Emblem Echoes' gameplay here, alongside several pieces of character artwork.

Amiibo support will be in the game, and the Alm and Celica figures launching on May 19 will unlock bonus dungeons.

The limited edition of the game includes the following for the price of $80, $20 over the base game.

The Fire Emblem Echoes limited edition will give you a reason to keep your 3DS out of storage. It still sells for well over retail value, so I'd expect the same treatment for Fire Emblem Echoes. By selecting Mila's Turnwheel from the menu on the overworld map, they will also be able to take advantage of their Alm and Celica amiibo in battle. "All amiibo" will summon a monster. Nintendo also revealed that all of your Fire Emblem amiibo will be functional in the game. All other now available amiibo are also compatible, and will summon an additional monster to the battleground to assist players in battle, providing some much-needed help in case of a strategic emergency.

Shadows of Valentia - remake of the second chapter of the series - is not away from its release, and Nintendo has provided some information on the versions that will be purchasable at launch. People receive a hardcover Valentia Arkbook and a Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Sound Selection CD.
