"There's a reason that Lonzo Ball is gonna be drafted in the top-5", Williams remarked.
In ESPN's mock draft, it was also noted that the combo of Fultz and Ball could go first and second.
I don't know him at all. "But that's just my opinion", he said. "I mean that in a sympathetic/empathetic way". "He's competitive. He wants to be the best at what he does". It's delightfully entertaining even if you love LaVar's enthusiasm and confidence in his sons because in a way, it's the visual that we all want. I anxious about getting to my job at the local liquor store on time not being hungover. That's just the only difference.
"At the end of the day, I'll play for any team".
When the Chino Hills team made it back to their hotel, Ball still hadn't cooled down. Many current National Basketball Association players have already stated that they dislike LaVar Ball and his overconfidence in his sons.
Skip Bayless: "You have set his bar high at the next level". "That's why I have to mold them into these players". One-and-done. He's gone. I will definitely have a hand in picking the next coach. "What can't I just be me?' And then they are going to be like, 'Aw, you're soft, you're not that good.' Because the expectation is very, very high".
LaVar started out as the common outspoken parent, but caused serious waves when he said that Lonzo was better than reigning two-time MVP of the NBA, Steph Curry. He better make every shot 'cause he can't go around me.
LaVar Ball hasn't only been criticized for his mouth.
His wild claims are also going to put targets on his sons' backs.
LaMelo tweeted, "Some kids don't even have fathers and y'all hating on my father because he believes his kids can do anything". "My wife would smack me upside the head if I acted like that". "I have that, so I don't need anything else". Who would you take #1 overall? It's like this: they're talking about exploitation and looking at my boys like an ATM machine. "All I can do is worry about me and my own game". "Whereas the fact that I wasn't all that allows me to take the time to make my boys all that". What I wonder is if LaVar understands how much money a Billion dollars is. It's of course entirely possible that LaVar Ball's out-there approach will be detrimental to his sons' careers, but we can't know that, at least not this early. "The key to life is, if you have a passion and you happen to get paid for it, you've already won".
LaVar Ball shouldn't talk about Lebron James, and DEFINITELY shouldn't talk about his kids. Once again, he said he could beat Michael Jordan in an one-on-one matchup.
