5 takeaways from Celtics' Game 2 loss to Bulls

Maybe Chicago's Jimmy Butler summed up rebounding best on Monday after gushing about how Lopez impacted Sunday's Game 1 win.

Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas has broken his silence regarding the tragic death of his younger sister Chyna who was killed in a one-car crash prior to the start of the NBA Playoffs.

Guard Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics was fined $25,000 by the National Basketball Association on Wednesday for making an obscene gesture toward a fan during the Game 2 loss to the Chicago Bulls. "That's where your confidence always comes from".

Butler is averaging 26 points through the first two games.

Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas (4), center Al Horford (42), guard Avery Bradley (0) and forward Jae Crowder (99) need to regroup in a hurry.

DeMar DeRozan had 23 points, Serge Ibaka added 13 of his 16 in the second half and Jonas Valanciunas had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Raptors, who improved to 5-1 when playing Game 2 of a playoff series on their home court.

The rebounding issue has spilled over into other phases of the game.

Calling Rondo "our point guard" wasn't a slip of the tongue, as Wade told Rondo after the game, "Way to lead your team tonight".

Smart just hung his head while waiting for a Bulls player to shoot free throws. I mean, I think we all do. For me, I just wanted to get to my spot.

"Yes, a lot of talking, " Nikola Mirotic said of Rondo with a laugh.

The Bulls, 41-41 in the regular season, are attempting to become the sixth No. 8 seed to upset a No. 1 in the first round - and the first since the Philadelphia 76ers upset Chicago in the 2012 play-offs. The Celtics were hoping for the same thing heading into Game 2.

Those fans booed their team on more than one occasion on Tuesday, including a loud chorus of jeers as the final seconds ticked off.

Seeing the Bulls reduce the Celtics to a bunch of guys Rondo claimed had quit made it easier to believe - barely - but not even those paid to see red could have envisioned a surge like this coming from a.500 team. Chasing Rondo, one of the worst three point shooters in the league, off the three point line is a problem.

Dwyane Wade also scored 22 points, while Rajon Rondo had a vintage performance against his former team. Of course, there was the infamous spat Rondo had with Wade and Butler where he questioned their leadership skills and effort in a post on his Instagram account.

The Thunder trailed by 15 entering the fourth quarter, and six straight points by the Rockets extended the lead to 100-78 with about 7 1/2 minutes remaining.
