'Drunk' teenager runs over footpath dwellers in Delhi, kills 2, injures three

The accident took place around 5.30 am at ISBT, a busy bus terminal in north Delhi's Kashmere Gate.

Two dead & 3 injured after a vehicle ran over them near Delhi's Kashmiri Gate.

The driver, a teenager, was with his two classmates when the accident occurred, police said.

"They were driving recklessly around 6 am".

One person was killed and three injured as a speeding auto driven by a teenager hit people sleeping on the pavement early this morning at Delhi's ISBT bus terminal.

The student lost control of his speeding I 20 vehicle and climbed on the footpath. The injured men have been admitted to the Sushruta Trauma Centre near Civil Lines.

Narwal said the driver claimed to be a teenager. The DCP, however, has refused to reveal his name until the age was confirmed. The owner of the car- Chug's friend Ujjwal's father -is likely to face charges in connection with the accident. One of them called the police and he was handed over to them.

The police has yet to verify if the boy was drunk at the time of the incident.

A case has been registered under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
