Erin Moran Died From Cancer

Erin Moran's close friends are still reeling from the news of her death - including the select few who knew about her quiet battle with Stage 4 cancer.

The statement also added that there were no illegal narcotics found at Moran's house, though "standard toxicology tests were performed and the results are pending".

A Burbank, California, native, Moran began acting in TV and movies before she was 10 years old.

Former child star Paul Petersen, who starred on The Donna Reed Show, hinted that Erin had been through personal struggles upon the news of her death. Upon arrival of first responders, it was determined that Erin Moran Fleischmann was deceased. Moran's untimely death on Saturday at age 56 was followed by an outpouring of support from the entertainment community, including her "Happy Days" co-stars. She rejoined the Happy Days cast for its final season, which ended in 1984.

Medical staff were called to reports of an "unresponsive female" at around 4pm, who discovered she had already passed away when they arrived at the property, TMZ reported at the time.

As a child, Moran also appeared in Melvin Van Peebles' "Watermelon Man" and made guest appearances in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father", "My Three Sons", "Family Affair" and "Gunsmoke".

I am proud of our efforts over the years to help Erin Moran whose troubles were many and complex. I always hoped she could find peace in her life.

"She seemed like she was a little off, it was hard to tell if it was just alcohol", the witness said.

Wishnoff was particularly impressed how Moran skillfully fielded fan questions about Scott Baio - speaking warmly about her former castmate while making it clear she didn't agree with his support of Donald Trump. "I'm sorry if that's cold, but God gave you a brain, gave you the will to live and thrive, and you gotta take care of yourself".
