Game of Thrones season 7 teaser out, hints upcoming conflicts

Fans of HBO's Game of Thrones have been eagerly devouring even the smallest breadcrumbs about the show's upcoming seventh season. Game of Thrones was your favourite?

The first Game of Thrones season 7 teaser trailer gives us a look at some of the most loved, or hated depending on whose side you're on. At Winterfell, after being declared "King of the North", Jon Snow takes his seat at the head of the table in the great hall. And, speaking of which, Cersei's blithe walk across the Red Keep shows she's confident, but certainly not untouchable.

Then Cersei exhales, and out comes a cloud of frosty air.

We'll all have to wait until summer to see what it all means.

The trailer is the second brief peek into the world of Westeros following another teaser, which suggested dark times were ahead for the different clans. Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent will play an archmaester, and pop star Ed Sheeran will make a cameo somewhere as well.

The trailer showed Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) claiming their respective seats of power in various core locations in Westeros.

In the trailer, Cersei has seen the blow the cold ice sigh. Daenerys, surprisingly, sits at another throne. The Night King and the White Walkers may be the most crucial characters who hold the key to the biggest twists in the next season.

The teaser ends with a chilling close-up at the Night's King icy-blue eyeball which is... as I said, very chilling (pun intended). Both season seven and eight are shorter than earlier 10-episode Game of Thrones seasons.
