The 19-year-old England global played a key role in United's 2-0 win over Premier League leaders Chelsea on Sunday, scoring for the second game running to boost their top-four hopes.
Ander Herrera, who shadowed Hazard, set up Marcus Rashford for United's seventh-minute opener and netted the hosts' second goal with a deflected strike early in the second half.
Gary Cahill has urged Chelsea to dig in and return to winning ways as soon as possible following their 2-0 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday.
Indeed few would have predicted that Mourinho's men would dominate the would-be champions so much on Easter Sunday as Chelsea's lead at the top of the table was cut to just four points. Against Crystal Palace we didn't deserve to lose, but today we deserved to lose the game.
The Spaniard, who joined United from Athletic Bilbao in 2014, has made 42 appearances so far this season, one more than in the whole of last season.
While Chelsea and Spurs will insist they only have eyes on themselves in the title run-in, the pair do clash next weekend in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
In quotes featured in the match programme for the Chelsea game, Herrera praised Mourinho, revealing how the manager had told him before the season had started that he would be an important part of his first United side - something which filled him with confidence.
"I think they deserved to win", Conte said after the match. Chelsea have no looked this bad, at any point, since Antonio Conte switched his formation to a back three in September, and the Blues began a record setting form of run.
"The performance was really very, very good and it is a pleasure for me to say that the [league] leaders - the leaders with some difference - could not cope with our performance". The kid played fantastic.
He said: "Normally you win the title if you are 22 matches unbeaten", he added". "Sometimes, of course, we draw a lot of games at home". But it's a great feeling to know that it's hard for us to lose a match, people fight until the end. We have to think there are six finals (the final six league games) from now until the end.
"We have to go again".
