Thursday's observation will open with a greeting and the National Day of Prayer Proclamation will be read.

Cunningham said a Day of Prayer is needed because the psalmist says in a prayer to God, "Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found".

The National Day of Prayer will be observed in front of Bellmawr Borough Hall, 21 E. Browning Road, on Thursday, May 4 at 12:20 for 20 minutes of prayer. But I am proud of the people that participate in it.
