Cher Brings Back 80s Hair and Sheer Leotard For Billboard Music Awards

Celine Dion took the stage Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards to perform her hit song "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic.

"Glee" alum Lea Michele introduced the performance and praised Dion for her poise and true talent. Dion looked angelic in a risk-taking white gown with high shoulder pads and a stunning plunging neckline.

But today, Dion's emotive version of "My Heart Will Go On" on a program of mostly shrill, pitch-challenged performances feels stabilizing.

With scenes from the multi Oscar-winning Titanic playing behind her, Celine, who lost her husband Rene Angelil to cancer 16 months ago, reduced the audience, including awards co-host Vanessa Hudgens, to tears with her emotive performance. Seriously, it gave us goosebumps too!

After the performance, Dion waved to the cheering crowd. "It's going to be hard to top that moment", Ludacris declared. "Make some noise for Céline Dion right now". "#BBMAs", the tweet read.

"We collaborate as a team, and I brought maybe 15 dresses and this one, I knew".

The "My Heart Will Go On" hitmaker lost René Angelil to cancer in January previous year, and Lea - whose boyfriend Corey Monteith died from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol in 2013 - praised the singer for holding herself with "dignity and respect" throughout the ordeal.

Cher - presented with the Icon Award for lifetime achievement - took to heart the title of her 1989 hit "If I Could Turn Back Time", singing it in a black fishnet suit and leather jacket as in the original video.
