Yesterday, Ubisoft France posted a shot of Far Cry 3's Rook Islands on their Facebook page. It's evident that Ubisoft is teasing a new Far Cry announcement but it's not known for sure right now precisely what it is that Ubisoft is teasing. Ubisoft still hasn't confirmed their press conference time, but with speculation high that we'll be getting a new Assassin's Creed game, you can guarantee they'll be having one.
It also linked to a picture of Far Cry 3 villain and fan favourite, Vaas, accompanied by his most famous line of dialogue.
On Facebook, Ubisoft has teased something that will please those who fell in love with Rook Island in Far Cry 3.
It's a little unfortunate, especially considering how gripping Far Cry 3's story was, and there's definitely potential for Ubisoft to do something more with Vaas' character.
That might not seem all that odd had Far Cry 3 not been released some four years.
Update: Ubisoft has told Game Informer that this was simply a "throwback post", and that it wasn't meant as a tease.
We haven't seen a numbered Far Cry since Far Cry 4 in late 2014, with Far Cry Primal launching early a year ago.
