Tyson: Joshua Makes Boxing Big

The 41-year-old Ukrainian failed to reclaim two of those prizes in front of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium last weekend when he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua.

He's an important asset for Under Armour because he's demonstrating crossover appeal - the ability to attract new fans to the sport.

Boxing has been struggling to find a new heavyweight champion who can captivate a worldwide audience for years.

He insists he is not "desperate" to return to the sport but wants to meet Joshua, who beat Klitschko on Saturday to unify the IBF and WBA titles before immediately referencing a future bout with Fury.

We'd love to see the big Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder showdown but fear the mandatory challenger situations may have to be dealt with, before we get what we want. I want to go worldwide with him.

It was actually nice because I got a 10-second break.

Despite being a few days removed from the fight, Joshua is already back in training and has ditched a holiday in favour of hitting the gym.

"An astonishing round in this heavyweight fight of the ages", said Smith, just in case you'd missed it a minute ago, and with Deontay now alongside him and Carl Froch, Wilder explained what was going on: "This is heavyweight boxing, ladies and gentlemen". Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed, "October, November, is probably the kind of date you will see Anthony Joshua back in the ring".

"If it works out for my career, I'll definitely relish the challenge against Tyson Fury or anyone else for that matter", Joshua wrote in a column for the London Evening Standard newspaper published on Tuesday (May 2). When I say I've never been more confident, or more serious when I say something - I can play with that bodybuilder.

By the end of the round, Kltschko had Joshua in trouble after landing a powerful left hook that rocked him, and in the following round he dropped Joshua with a crushing right hand. That's what boxing is all about but most fighters just don't have that hunger. However, after the warm up, Joshua unloads on another shot to test his power again and it looks like the machine may have broken with the heavyweight champion's power shot.

"Unbelievable fight, a great fight for a heavyweight clash. I'm really enjoying this right now".

I got up, counted to 10 and I remember him coming over and I said to myself "whatever he throws I'm going to do my best to avoid it".
