Dennis Rodman to meet his 'old friend' Kim Jong Un

Former basketball star Dennis Rodman is reportedly set to touch down in North Korea on Tuesday in hopes of meeting with the country's quarrelsome president Kim Jong-un.

"We are aware of his visit".

Former NBA badboy Dennis Rodman is making a surprise trip to North Korea on Tuesday amid high tensions on the nuclear-armed peninsula.

The flamboyant Rodman, who has called Kim "an awesome kid", said in an interview with CNN in 2014, his travels to North Korea would help "open the door" to the isolated nation.

Kim Jong-nam is believed to have met the USA citizen for two hours at a hotel in Malaysia and picked up the money while in the country, the newspaper said, citing unnamed officials from the country's investigation authorities.
