Google for Jobs is now live

Less time hunting, more time applying as every job is only a Google Search away.

The idea here is to give job seekers an easy way to see which jobs are available without having to go to multiple sites only to find duplicate postings and lots of irrelevant jobs.

Madgex CEO Tom Ricca-McCarthy said: "We power some of the leading brands in online recruitment, which led to Google approaching us to work on this new feature".

The developers at Google know there is a demand for a solution in job matching so they are introducing Google for Jobs. People using Google to search for new work opportunities will be able to enter the position and location they are looking for and be presented with a list of results. So in effect, job postings shared on these website will also be reflected directly on Google Jobs Search. For example, if you search "tech jobs" in the "Austin, Texas area", one of the first jobs that pops up is a tech support job with Apex Systems. Sometimes it's a job service site like Monster or CareerBuilder, and sometimes it's the company web site. Many listings will also include reviews and ratings of the employer.

Google is in the process of making Search even handier for job hunters, which really is a godsend in the current employers market that we're in. So, say you want to search for a full-time job in Computers and IT, with the title of manager, at a manufacturing company located in your city, that's just been posted in the last three days.

Job seekers can set alerts for their search and will receive an email whenever a new job fitting the person's parameters is offered, according to Google. "We want the players in the ecosystem to be more successful". Then this AI-powered categorizes the jobs and help the search engines to understand the job posting. Anything beyond that is not in Google's wheelhouse, he added. Google also provided open documentation to allow all jobs providers, regardless of size or type, to make their employment openings available to search.
