The Crew wasn't particularly well-received back in 2014, but Ubisoft is taking another crack at the racing genre with, debuting a new cinematic trailer and gameplay walkthrough at their E3 2017 press conference. The game will be more than just a traditional street racing as more things have been added. You'll be able to unlock new rides, take part in contests, and each challenge you complete will be shared and saved as a new challenge for other players, meaning that you set the records.
Ubisoft unveiled the first official look at The Crew 2 with an intense, fast pace collection of footage that perfectly sells everything gamers have always loved about the franchise. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until early 2018 to get your hands on the finished product. The drive-across-America open-map design was exquisite when the stars aligned and you got to drive coast to coast with a group of strangers on a whim. The Crew was an interesting game, but it was also a highly flawed experience that didn't really take advantage of its most intriguing concepts. However, Ubisoft did state that will be opening registration for an upcoming beta of the game.
It will be out on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. "Through competitions and chance encounters, players will find and hone their personal style, collect and customize dream rides, show them off and make their mark on the USA motorsports scene".
