Who is Bill Browder?

In June 2012, Congress passed the Magnitsky Act to punish those who were in some way were responsible for Magnitsky's death and laundering the stolen tax money by preventing them from coming to the United States or using our banking system.

Hermitage Capital CEO William Browder told the Senate Judiciary Committee at a hearing on Thursday that the effort to repeal the sanction, the Magnitsky Act, was an obsession of Putin's even though it would appear highly unlikely to ever be accomplished.

Asked why one law matters so much to Vladimir Putin when the USA has levied other sanctions on Russia, Browder argued it's because the sanctions targeted specific wealthy individuals directly tied to the Russian president's own suspected massive personal fortune.

Browder, the founder of Hermitage Capital Management, r enounced his United States citizenship in 1998 and moved to Russian Federation, where he quickly became the country's most successful foreign investor. So he personally is at risk of the Magnitsky Act. Its founder Glenn Simpson, a former Wall Street Journal reporter, was one of the people in Washington who has helped Veselnitskaya lobby to repeal the Magnitsky Act-by working for an American law firm hired to defend Prevezon. Browder was involved in lobbying the Magnitsky Act.

"Fusion GPS has complied with the law", the statement said.

"So the Veselnitskaya approach to the Trumps had a potential goal within reach that did not require the undoing of the Magnitsky Act", Whitehouse said, referring to the meeting between a Russian lawyer and anti-Magnitsky lobbyist, Natalia Veselnitskaya, and Donald Trump Jr.at Trump Tower last June.

While emails released by President Trump's eldest son indicate that the meeting was arranged after Trump Jr. was promised compromising information on Hillary Clinton, Veselnitskaya told ABC News she attended the meeting to discuss the Magnitsky Act and Russian adoptions.

The Act, signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2012, was created to punish Russian officials suspected of being involved in the death of Browder's accountant, Sergey Magnitsky.

Magnitsky uncovered a $US230 million tax fraud scheme in 2008 when he was working for Hermitage that implicated high-level Kremlin officials and allies of President Vladimir Putin. "Particularly at a time when we face unprecedented interference in our democratic process by a certain country, namely Russian Federation", said Sen.

When asked about being influenced by foreign agents, Rohrabacher told Newsy: "The media has a mindset that is a sinister mindset who wants to portray a picture of me and people who don't want to have war with Russian Federation again as some kind of tool or useful idiot or paid off idiot".

'What they were willing to offer in return I don't know. "It affects Putin's money", Browder said. "Whether that offer made any sense to the other side, I don't know".

The Department of Justice is tasked with the oversight of foreign agents. In fact, she has denied having anything to do with the Kremlin, but the fact that she once represented interests of the F.S.B.in court may raise numerous eyebrows, especially among USA politicians. He told Fox News that the Washington-based intelligence company Fusion GPS, which commissioned a dossier of salacious allegations against Donald Trump, has also been supported by Russian Federation.

Kushner and the White House have both said the meeting was about adoptions. Lindsey Graham asked, "You believe that Fusion GPS should of registered under FARA, because they were acting on the behalf of the Russians?"

Since March, the Senate Judiciary Committee has pressed for Mr. Simpson's testimony and documents relevant to the case.
