EA releases Battlefront II's Starfighter Assault trailer following its leak

The mode is expected to debut next week at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

The space fights for Battlefront II are being made by Criterion - the same developer who created the first Battlefront's side title, Rogue One VR mission, which rolled out a year ago.

A month after a new trailer went behind the scenes of Star Wars Battlefront 2, we have our first look at the mode which showcases the Millennium Falcon and, of course, plenty of lens flare.

Yeah, Yoda pilots a weird-looking Old Republic TIE Figher-esque ship, it's not canon, who gives a shit, I bet he wrecks mad kills and gives you the finger with his three-fingered hand and tells you to kiss off. AIR SUPERIORITY, BABY!

Recently, Electronic Arts executives also teased that the upcoming game is "coming together really, really strong," and they're not concerned by the competition coming from other big titles this fall season. Unlike 2015 original, this time, Battlefront II has a campaign, which is being created by developer Motive.

Be sure to tune in to the EA Live Show at Gamescom streaming on EA.com on August 21 at 9:30am PDT/6:30pm CET to watch the Starfighter Assault live gameplay reveal. Take a look at the new Starfighter Assault gameplay trailer below, then mark your calendar for Star Wars Battlefront II's release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 17th November 2017. You're going to be a part of a black ops team of Stormtroopers called Inferno Squad this time.
