Is Xbox One X Getting a Special 'Day One' Edition?

Listings for a Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition were accidentally put on two German websites, and were quickly taken down.

Project Scorpio was teased in 2016 and is the name of the Xbox capable of playing 4K and virtual reality games.

These "power" Doritos are green as hell, and will very likely show up on store shelves in the weeks preceding the Xbox One X launch. There also appears to be a slight difference to the texture on the console.

MediaMarkt's description of the console reads, "Be the first to experience the Xbox One X console for the biggest fans - the Project Scorpio Edition in individual design, both the console and the controller are labeled 'Project Scorpio'". Slated for a November 7 release date, the game for Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Windows 10 has been pushed back to next year.

Microsoft will reveal the Xbox One X pre-order details on Sunday during the gamescom live presentation. However, hopefully we will get a better look at the number of developers planning to support this new console.

Those eagerly awaiting the Xbox One X will find out more soon, when Microsoft heads to Gamescom 2017 to showcase the new console and a host of new games. Microsoft also released a Day One achievement for those who purchased the console. Whether that console will be able to help boost Microsoft's fortunes and compete realistically with the Pro remains to be seen, however.
