Sports Chelsea Makes £25m Bid for Chamberlain

Oxlade-Chamberlain had a fantastic season for Arsenal previous year, playing in a variety of positions, including right wing, central midfield, and even as a right wing back.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been adamant the England global will not be leaving the Emirates this summer.

With Wenger still not quite convinced of his ability in midfield, Oxlade-Chamberlain has become a bit of a utility player for Arsenal, with the England worldwide impressing of late in a wing-back position, be that down the right or the left.

And the ex-Wimbledon defender suggested that Manchester United should put together a lucrative offer to bring Oxlade-Chamberlain to Old Trafford from Arsenal to replace Herrera.

Liverpool are reportedly more open to that idea, but have not quite shown as much of an interest.

Arsenal boast a stunning 17 additional players to their London counterparts and Chelsea's expediency in dispensing with players has left them in what appears to be a perilous position.

The Blues have launched a £35m bid to get him, and Oxlade-Chamberlain is interested in making the move.

Arsene Wenger has made it clear to Arsenal's board that he does not want to lose Oxlade-Chamberlain to another Premier League rival.

"I think in his career he had some bad moments because he had some small injuries", he told reporters.

"He'll continue to move up because the potential is there". Personally, I think he is a hugely talented player.
