Thermal pad and heat pipe present inside the LG V30 kills all the heat created inside it.
In LG's home market of South Korea, the V30 will go on sale on September 21, followed by major markets in North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The LG V30 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 2.4GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 64GB/128GB onboard storage with up to 2TB of expandable storage via a microSD card.
The smartphone would be available in four colors; Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, and Lavender Violet.
LG V30 comes with very powerful camera features. Pricing hasn't yet been finalised but it's rumoured to be in the $699 USD/£699 GBP region.
We read quite a bit about the V30's camera systems in a pre-reveal teaser blog post from LG earlier in the month. While the resolution is same, LG G6 has better pixel density due to smaller display size. Unlike the predecessor models that featured a secondary ticker screen, the LG V30 ditches it for good. The phone has been made with H-Beam aluminum which makes it really strong. Well, this is no more and instead, the company has replaced it with an always on display and a floating bar, where you can access shortcuts to quick tasks and the music player as well, even when the screen is off. It can be dragged offscreen when not required. The LG V30 nearly like the Samsung Galaxy S8 with features like a 6 inch HD Quad OLED screen with rounded corners, curves, and shrunken bezels.
The V30 does not come with flat sides anymore. Nevertheless, LG claims its f1.6 rear camera aperture with glass Crystal Clear lens "is the most capable image capturing device in a smartphone". LG Cine Log preserves wide dynamic range and colour gamut and log gamma curve which comes in handy during post production. It is a 16MP camera while the secondary camera beside to it is a 13MP one with a wide-angle lens and the F/1.9 aperture. There is an array of built-in effects that allows users to add movie-like effects on videos.
The technology giant's V30 has a 6in OLED FullVision display that fills the front of the phone, as well as high-specification dual rear cameras.
The USP of LG V30 remains the inclusion of features like the IP68 water and dust proof certification, MIL-STD 810G ratings, Bang & Olufsen audio and voice recognition.
Perhaps the feature I'm most excited about is the built in Hi-Fi Quad DAC designed by B&O. The LG V30, as is known for the media consumption, also has the support for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology for high-resolution audio streaming. The battery of V30 works with the capacity of a 3300mAh, it is not removable flagship. To deal with heat the V30 has a heat pipe and cooling pad.
So now that it's official, what do you think of the LG V30? It also carries a design that flaunts smooth curves on all sides of the handset.
