Four assistant coaches from top basketball programs across the country have been arrested on federal charges after allegations they took bribes.
The college basketball world was rocked Tuesday morning when the United States Department of Justice announced ten people had been arrested in connection with fraud and corruption in college basketball.
Prosecutors said Gatto and others funneled $100,000 from Adidas, identified as "Company-1", to the family of an elite high school prospect so he would play at an Adidas-sponsored school matching the description of the University of Louisville.

The FBI investigation began before Evans' hire at Oklahoma State but the operation continued through this month.
Joon Kim, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of NY, said in a press conference Tuesday that "the coaches affirmatively lied to the players and their families". In return, Evans is accused of steering star players toward those men.
The findings led to his former assistant at Oklahoma State in federal court Wednesday afternoon, facing bribery and corruption charges, among others. Investigators say he would travel to South Carolina, New York, West Virginia and Las Vegas to negotiate the bribes.
Court papers describe a secretly recorded meeting at a Manhattan hotel last December where Person told an Auburn player that he knew some of his help was "a violation ... of rules, but this is how the National Basketball Association players get it done, they get early relationships, and they form partnerships, they form trust". Evans was involved in an investigation into bribes from personal managers to influence players to sign with them. Evans and Underwood worked together for about a year at Oklahoma State before Underwood left for the IL job this past spring.
"We have reached out to the NCAA", Kim said.
"As we have already stated, we will cooperate with federal officials and coordinate with the NCAA as we move forward with looking into this matter to the fullest extent".
Evans followed former K-State coaches Frank Martin to SC, then when to his current job at Oklahoma State when Brad Underwood was named head coach there.
They said Person also claimed to pay $18,500 of that sum to two players' families. "These are serious accusations that are not consistent with University of SC values".
