A federal control board overseeing Puerto Rico's finances authorized up to $1 billion in local money to be used for hurricane response, but Gov. Ricardo Rossello said he would ask for more. In fact, 3.5 million USA citizens live there. But it is important that the destruction and pain being experienced by our compatriots in Puerto Rico not be ignored or overlooked.
