Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by over 50 women since The New York Times and The New Yorker documented decades of alleged abuse in detailed profiles earlier this month.
Huett's story, according to her lawsuit, is that she met with Weinstein at the bar at the hotel where he was living to discuss her career aspirations.
Dominique Huett, 35, a New York-based actress, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Tuesday against The Weinstein Company, alleging that Harvey Weinstein pressured her into sex at the Pennisula Hotel in Beverly Hills in 2010 and that his company knew about multiple allegations against him of sexual misconduct dating back to the 1990s. The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network says it has received 21 percent more calls than usual in a surge the organization's vice president of communications attributes to the bravery of Weinstein's accusers.
Malthe said Wednesday that the Weinstein Co. cofounder raped her at the Sanderson Hotel in London in February 2008.
"Her allegation appears to be beyond the statute of limitations", Allred said of Haleyi.
The persistent 65-year-old moviemaker also asked her to join him on a jaunt to Paris to attend couture shows.
"It was an imbalance of power, she said no, she was coerced, and it was unwanted sexual touching", he said.
Messing participated in the #MeToo movement that took social media by storm over a week ago, revealing to her 439k followers that she's experienced sexual harassment or sexual assault.
But Weinstein got in touch afterward and offered her a job on one of his TV productions in NY. Another article from The New Yorker said that several women alleged he sexually assaulted them.
Haleyi finally told Weinstein she wasn't interested in him romantically and that she had heard about his "terrible reputation with women".
Through his spokesperson, Weinstein has denied any allegations of nonconsensual sex, but police departments in London, Los Angeles, and NY are now investigating, as is the NY attorney general.
"We need justice for these victims", said Allred.
When he returned from Paris, Weinstein asked her to meet at his loft apartment in Soho.
"Vague apologies are not enough". "By that time, I was crying, as I felt completely humiliated and stupid for having been excited about meeting with him".
A New York Times report said Weinstein settled sexual harassment claims with at least eight actresses and staffers.
