Antonio Conte reveals when N'Golo Kante will return for Chelsea

Chelsea boss Conte hopes to have Kante back in time for the Champions League tie with Roma in midweek, however, which he believes will provide his side with a big boost.

When asked how he had coped without Kante in the past few weeks, Conte told reporters: "For sure it is not simple".

"Last season was very hard for him, but it was also hard for me".

"[Danny] Drinkwater is nearly ready too and Kante is at the stage nearly to come back with us".

Chelsea will still head into the game as favourites, given the two teams' positions in the league, but the champions have looked vulnerable recently and Bournemouth have momentum. "The only problem now that we have to face is that we need more time with Moses".

There is speculation that Chelsea are not happy with Conte and are preparing to sack him, with Carlo Ancelotti reported to be prepared to take over from his fellow Italian.

As per the Metro, Conte gave us more detail of Kante's injury in a press conference this afternoon.

He said: "There's a lot of bulls***".

"I found a situation with a lot of troubles, yes, and I found a situation after 10 games".

"It was tougher at the start because to arrive in a new country, to adapt yourself with a new type of football, new language, new habits". "If I see the past, it happened the same with a lot of managers".

"I don't think we hurt them, we didn't stretch their back five and a poor touch here and there stopped us. I don't judge if my striker scores or doesn't score; I judge the player's performance for the team". We have three points and we move on. Some people can think to win is easy but it is not easy.

He was voted as the PFA player of the year last season as he helped Chelsea to win the title in his first campaign at the west London club.
