"There's no margin (to change mind) because I'm quite convinced of the choices I've made", Buffon, who was named as the Goalkeeper of the Year at Fifa's The Best awards on Monday, told Sky Sports.
Max Allegri's side have been defeated in two Champions league finals in the past three years (2015 and 2017).
The 39-year-old World Cup victor, who on Monday was named goalkeeper of the year at the FIFA Best awards, has never lifted European football's top prize in a trophy-laden career, The Independent reported. I think a year ago was outstanding for me and for the team.
The now 39-year-old has spent over 15-years playing for the Bianconeri, while also recording well over 150 appearances for the Italian national team. At that point, I would like to try to win the Club World Cup, and maybe [Wojciech] Szczesny would let me play one game.
In the global arena the best in the career of Gianluigi Buffon came in 2006 and the triumph at the world Cup in Germany.
'It's a great honour to receive this award at my age. I am proud of it.
-Gianluigi Buffon is set to retire at the end of the season except he wins the Champions League trophy.
Gianluigi Buffon said that he would be a part of FIFA Club World Cup provided his team wins Champions League this season.
But reports say the World Cup victor, who picked up his eighth Serie A title with Juve last season, will hang up his gloves.
"I would love to finish football with fantastic victories".
His coach Massimiliano Allegri was beaten to The Best FIFA Coach award by Zinedine Zidane, but he hopes to be back in the running next year, since that will mean he has achieved something even greater than last season.
