Corker On Trump Lying: 'Everyone Knows He Does It'

President Donald Trump is not backing down from his feud with Sen. Trump reacted by tweeting that Corker had decided not to run for reelection in 2018 because the president refused to endorse Corker.

Corker, in the New York Times interview, said that Trump is acting "like he's doing "The Apprentice" or something", and added that he could set the nation "on the path to World War III".

GOP trouble: At the National Journal, political analyst Charlie Cook of the Cook Political Report writes that Trump went to a "darker place" in his Corker criticism, and he now thinks the GOP majority is in jeopardy not only in the Senate but in the House. As chairman of the foreign relations panel, Corker, Tenn., will help determine the future of the Iran nuclear deal, and his support will be critical in passing broad tax cuts.

Only eight percent think Trump is making the situation better, said the poll. "I said "NO" and he dropped out (said he could not win without my endorsement)".

"Corker had 2 aides on line, also recording, and they made sure after it ended that I was taping, too", Martin said in response to Trump's tweet.

"We're on the right path right now, believe me", Trump said during his meeting with prominent US Diplomat Henry Kissinger earlier this week.

Corker that evening spoke with New York Times reporters and said he is concerned that Trump is running his White House and the federal government like "a reality show".

In recent months, Trump has also gone after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Ky., and Sens.

"The President called Senator Corker on Monday afternoon and asked him to reconsider his decision not to seek re-election and reaffirmed that he would have endorsed him, as he has said many times", Womack said in a statement. Bob Corker is apparently still on, based on the new nickname the president bestowed upon Corker Tuesday morning.

Corker's comments have already infuriated Trump's base.
