He was 64 and had been suffering from dementia for the last three years.

Malcolm Young, the co-founder and rhythm guitarist of legendary rock group AC/DC, died on Saturday morning. Thank goodness and the rock gods that that's the only thing he ever did peacefully - and that he played the guitar as though peace were a foreign concept indeed.
"Malcolm Young was my friend and the heart and soul of AC/DC. He always stuck to his guns and did and said exactly what he wanted".
"Malcolm, along with Angus, was the founder and creator of AC/DC".
"Malcolm was always very organised [so] it was kind of unusual". His loyalty to the fans was unsurpassed.
Angus Young added, "As his brother it is hard to express in words what he has meant to me during my life, the bond we had was unique and very special". Angus is in fact the younger sibling.
