Second Woman Accuses Al Franken of Sexual Misconduct

A second woman has come forward with allegations of sexual harassment by Senator Al Franken.

On Monday, CNN reported that 33-year-old Lindsay Menz from Frisco, Texas, told the network after Tweeden's announcement that she had her own "uncomfortable" interaction with Franken.

"I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don't remember taking this picture", Franken said in a statement. "I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected". Al Franken, D-Minn., days after a radio host accused the lawmaker of forcibly kissing and groping her more than a decade ago.

On Twitter, Menz said the interaction made her feel "violated & embarassed [sic]".

He has apologized to Tweeden, and she has accepted the apology, but a handful of Democrats have called for him to resign. "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek". It wasn't around my hip or side.

A photo released by Menz shows Franken standing close to her, although his hands are not visible.

That said, this incident, unlike Tweeden's, occurred after Franken's election. "I don't want to paint my story in the same light as hers", Menz said, saying she believes what happened to Tweeden is much worse. Menz posted the photo of her and Franken to her Facebook profile on 27 August 2010, according to CNN.

"I respect women. I don't respect men who don't", he added. "Like he nearly can't remember doing it or not, and I think that he himself knows, and if he did do this in fact, he really does need to resign, because we should have a zero tolerance policy for this, just like we do in the military for sexual assault".

The Senate is not in session this week, and as best as I can tell, none of Franken's colleagues have issued new statements today calling on his ouster.

Donald Trump, who has been accused of sexual assault by at least 16 women, criticized Franken in a series of tweets last week.
