ARSENAL 3-3 LIVERPOOL at Emirates — FULL TIME

Arsenal and Liverpool were forced to share the spoils in their Friday night Premier League encounter at the Emirates.

Liverpool appeared to be cruising to an impressive away victory after Salah scored his 21st goal of the season to double the lead.

First, Alexis Sanchez reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute with a close-ranger header and then, Granit Xhaka beat Mignolet from distance three minutes later despite his shot coming fairly close to the Belgian shot-stopper.

Goals from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah gave the Reds a two-goal lead at the Emirates but Arsenal hit back with three goals in the space of five minutes. The pair have struggled in front of goal recently, however, Friday's game against a top-six rival could be the motivation needed to end their barren run.

The result means Liverpool remain fourth in the Premier League table in the race for the Champions League spots and Arsenal are a point behind them in fifth.

Despite Jordan Henderson limping off early and Arsenal's pressing high up the pitch, the visitors had the better of the opening exchanges and Coutinho bent a curling effort narrowly wide.

Arsenal will be looking to redeem their reputation after losing 4-0 to Liverpool in Anfield back in August.

Firmino's drive narrowly cleared the crossbar just after the half-hour mark and Cech then had to deny Salah after Koscielny's slip let the Egypt worldwide in, with Sadio Mane acrobatically turning the rebound over.

There was one last plot twist as Firmino bagged Liverpool's equaliser to cap a breath-taking clash that was nearly as memorable as the Reds' 4-3 victory over Arsenal in the corresponding fixture last season.

Salah's air-kick wasted another Liverpool opportunity and it was no surprise to hear Arsenal booed off at the interval.
