The Screen Actors Guild announced Wednesday that all presenters at the January 21 SAG Awards would be women (the nominations were announced by two women as well) and the ceremony will be hosted by Kristen Bell, their first ever female host.
She may not have been nominated for any awards, but Gal Gadot will still be taking the stage at the Golden Globes next Sunday. From her small-time Hollywood fame, Gadot vaulted this year to super stardom after the smash success of the standalone Wonder Woman film.
And as Hollywood's elite prepare for the star-studded annual ceremony, it has now been confirmed that actress Penelope Cruz will be a presenter on the night.
Among the other marquee names revealed in the first wave of presenters are five-time Golden Globe victor and 17-time nominee Carol Burnett, Penélope Cruz, Chris Hemsworth, Sharon Stone, Darren Criss, Alicia Vikander, Hugh Grant and Neil Patrick Harris.
It was recently rumoured that this year's ceremony would see a number of female celebrities hitting the red carpet in all-black attire in solidarity with those who have accused key Hollywood figures of sexual harassment and abuse. The media mogul, who will next be seen in "A Wrinkle in Time", will receive the 2018 Cecil B. DeMille Award, an honor given to Meryl Streep past year.
Source told People several actresses were opting for all black gowns, and the move could continue through awards season, which culminates at the Oscars on March 4. "At least ALL MY GUYS will be", Urbinanti wrote last week on Instagram.
