Omarosa to leave White House post

Since news of her departure broke, rumors have swirled around the circumstances under which the decision was made for her to vacate her post. But Newman did not like those terms and tried to renegotiate. "We wish her the best in future endeavours and are grateful for her service", The New York Times quoted Sanders as saying.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that Manigault Newman's resignation is effective January 20, one year after Trump's inauguration.

After just under a year of serving as the White House's director of communications for the Public Liaison Office - while doing a scant amount of actual liaisoning - Manigault has left the building. The White House announced last week that deputy national security adviser Dina Powell will leave the administration early next year.

White House officials have long expected that some Trump aides would leave the White House in January and Manigault Newman is the latest example that an exodus from the White House could happen.

The agency confirmed that a pass granting her access to the complex had been deactivated. The first chief of staff, Reince Priebus badly wanted to fire her but was unable to do so. The White House denied compiling such information.

Omarosa has always held herself in, uh, high-esteem.

Her White House tenure has not been without some tension.

Her appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists' convention in New Orleans in August devolved into a testy clash with a veteran news anchor during a panel discussion on policing in black communities.

Omarosa Manigault: the villain, the honorable, the unemployed.

And then, there's also the uncertainty about what it is she actually does in the White House.

The two met while she was teaching at Howard University and were engaged in July 2016 after Pastor Newman proposed at his church in Jacksonville, Florida, The Sanctuary @ Mt.Calvary, US Weekly reported. It's unclear how this will affect the day-to-day function of the White House because it was generally unclear what Omarosa did every day.

She joined the administration as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison, working on outreach to various constituency groups. Hot on the heels of Trump surrogate Roy Moore getting his racist ass handed to him by black voters in Alabama, president* Trump's token black woman has been unceremoniously removed from her role in the White House. The Congressional Black Caucus called out the White House aide after she extended an invitation to the 49 members of the caucus to the White House for a meeting. Officially, her title was assistant to the president and director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, which is in charge of special group outreach meant to further the president's agenda.
