Twitter reacts to Jimbo Fisher leaving FSU for Texas A&M

There were a mix of reactions Friday on Florida State's campus after news of Jimbo Fisher's choice to leave FSU for Texas A&M University quickly spread around the Internet.

Texas A&M will pay Fisher $75 million over 10 years, which is the largest deal in college football history in terms of total value.

Fisher maintained Thursday that he expects to coach the Seminoles for their regular-season finale against Louisiana-Monroe, repeatedly refusing to answer whether he'll be back at Florida State in 2018.

He had been coaching the team for eight years with a 83-23 record.

FSU CB Levonta Taylor (via Twitter): "Just want to thank Jimbo for all he has done for me and the program I wish the best for you in Texas!"

"Kevin's tenure included some remarkable achievements and he leaves our program as one of the winningest football coaches in our storied history", Texas A&M athletic director Scott Woodward said in a statement. The Noles will win and move to 6-6, extending their bowl streak to 36 years in an otherwise very bad season. Odell Haggins will act as interim head coach.

"President Thrasher and I have worked together through this challenging period while coach Fisher was making a decision, and I appreciate the cooperation, support and leadership he has provided", athletic director Stan Wilcox said. Sumlin was 51-26 in his career at Texas A&M, but the administration had grew exhausted of Sumlin after his apparent failures to build upon the 11-2 record in his first season at the school. The school's lone national championship came in 1939.

"Evidently he feels like that's the right move for him and his family and the right time to do so", Swinney said at an ACC title game news conference.

Florida State issued official statement's on Fisher's departure on Friday. I don't have any doubt about that.
