Cheryl Cole Addresses Liam Payne Split Rumors: 'It Doesn't Bother Me'

And now, just days after the news broke, The Sun is reporting that former One Direction star Liam is "seeking advice" but still wants to make their relationship work.

Cheryl Cole is all smiles as she officially opens The Prince's Trust Cheryl's Trust Centre on Tuesday (February 20) in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England.

While visiting her hometown of Newcastle, Cheryl was questioned by one member of the paparazzi, asking, "Are you and Liam okay?"

'No it does't bother me at all because my focus is exclusively on this because I've waited seven years for this, ' she said.

Shaking her head, she replied: "None of that matters, this is what is important for me".

However, Liam made no mention of the rumours as he co-hosted the Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp radio show on Monday morning, although he did admit that they couldn't agree on which soccer team their 10-month-old son Bear will support when he's older.

However, the one major downside to his success is that he doesn't have much time to spend with his almost 1-year-old son, Bear Payne, or Bear's mother, baby mama Cheryl... which has led to many breakup rumors in recent weeks.

He wrote beneath the beaming snap: 'Very proud of you! how you find the time to do this I'll never know.

"I just had a passionate feeling of wanting to help", she said.

"It's tough growing up in the North East, especially now the unemployment rate is ridiculous", said the singer. Over many years you've put all this together and put your heart into such a great cause!'

It was also reported by The Sun that Liam has spoken to lawyers to see what a split would mean for their shared assets and the care of their son - with Liam holding an estimated £54million fortune, and Cheryl around £20million.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last week, you will have heard the rumours at that Cheryl Tweedy and Liam Payne's relationship could be coming to an end.

The teenage Cheryl would have thought the centre was "awesome", she said, adding: "I would have probably either been here every other day. or worked here".
