While CBS and Turner Sports have been partnering on NCAA Tournament coverage since 2011 the official unveiling of the tournament bracket has typically been shown on CBS.
Any team that outright wins its conference in the regular season is automatically awarded an NIT bid if they aren't selected to the big bracket. The one win in those four games was earned by beating Duke.
"I told our players, everybody can play if they're in there", Bennett said.
Here's what the latest NCAA Tournament projections are showing for the Buckeyes. The Hokies (21-11) will play as the East Region's No. 8 seed against No. 9 Alabama Thursday in Pittsburgh.
'NOVA NO. 1: Villanova (30-4) is the No. 1 seed in the East Region, a familiar position for the Wildcats.
Davidson, the number three seed in the Atlantic 10 tournament, upset Rhode Island in the A-10 championship game.
He mentioned Oklahoma's six wins against top-35 RPI teams, including Kansas, Texas Tech and Wichita State, and that the Sooners' slump impacted their seeding.
Virginia Tech also beat other NCAA Tournament teams North Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina State and Virginia. The victor will get the chance to take down the East Region No. 1 seed, Villanova. The committee said Syracuse was the last team in the tournament.
Both Purdue and Butler were selected as an at-large bid. The Southeastern Conference, which has made a concerted effort to transfer its success in football to the hardcourt, got 8 of its 14 teams into the field. Oh, if you knew automatically what 68 teams were in the fray.
It's not just about the raw number of losses the Sooners have but the way they stumbled down the stretch, losing 11 of their last 15 games. The Horned Frogs celebrated when they found out Sunday that they were heading to the big dance. Kidding, mostly. Many folks were surprised that Arizona State made the tournament. Its best win came over Vermont in December.
SURPRISE: You didn't have to look hard to find someone saying Oklahoma didn't belong in the NCAA Tournament. Now the Wildcats (24-10) enter with a No. 5 seed after winning seven of eight to claim the SEC Tournament title.
This also means that if the Bruins want to get back to the Sweet Sixteen, they will have to win three-consecutive games in one week. The Friars are a risky No. 10 seed.
