"Police said in case there is any threat calls made she should inform immediately".
Meanwhile talking to ANI on Thursday morning, Shami, who was not included in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) new annual contract following Jahan's claims, refuted the allegations made by his wife and said that he is innocent.
"I tried contacting my wife and I am ready to apologise to my fans and everyone else if any evidence is found against me", the fast bowler told India Today. "Shami abused me and started beating me after returning from South Africa".
Jahan accused the cricketer by posting screenshots of text messages of questionable nature that Shami allegedly exchanged with various women. Khan wrote on Twitter, "Bhai don't worry Hidustaan Ke pass bus yahi kaam Hai logo ko peechey khichna Aap aagey badho namaz padho Allah is great he will help u no one will help Only him I m with u (sic)".
Shami has denied these allegations and stressed it was a "well thought conspiracy against him". Married to Shami since 2014, Hasin Jahan claimed that the bowler is having several extra-marital affairs simultaneously.
She further stated that Shami raised hands on her after the South Africa Test tour in January 2018 and make her stay quiet. Can not say anything about the case till the time I get to know everything.
Shami, who has been playing Deodhar Trophy, has quashed all the reports, saying that all the reports that are going around are false and are out as an attempt to ruin his career. "Shami never wanted to attend any party with me and never acknowledge me as his wife in any social gatherings", she added.
Jahan alleged that the Bengal pacer took money from a Pakistani woman by the name of Alishba under the influence of England-based businessman Mohammed Bhai. "So this I think is a planned ploy".
