Voting for Rajya Sabha elections 2018 begins

Thus the total number of votes was 108. We are with the party whip with full loyalty. In Karnataka, the Congress won 3 and the BJP won a solitary seat out of the 4 seats. Seventeen of BJP nominees were among these 33. This election was different from earlier elections. There are three independents.
In the 140-member assembly, the LDF has 90 MLAs while the UDF 41 legislators. One vote of the LDF was declared invalid. The lone BJP member, O. Rajagopal, and independent member P.C. George also abstained.
One MLA of UDF ally IUML is on leave as he is unwell.
The ruling TRS bagged all three Rajya Sabha seats even as Congress candidate and former Union Minister P Balram Naik suffered a defeat in the polling held here on Friday.
BJP will look to gain one more seat from UP. Speculations on which lawmaker voted for which party buzzed loud.
Another legislator who did cross-voting was Nitin Agrawal of the SP, who cast his vote in favour of the BJP.
