Conor McGregor Media Day Meltdown and Court Appearance

Explaining why, New York State Athletic Commission executive director Kim Sumbler amazingly compared the mixed-martial arts fighter to Charles Manson - a cult leader who in 1971 was convicted of first-degree murder for the deaths of seven people.

Michael Chiesa was sent to the hospital with injuries sustained in the attack and was forced out of his scheduled fight against Anthony Pettis.

"I'm devastated to say the least", tweeted Chiesa.

He stood before a judge in jeans, saying nothing except "yes your honor". His next court date was set for June 14.

"No ... no", White said on the program when asked if he would help Conor on this one.

"Conor is in a lot of trouble".

"So much rumor and misinformation about my client, Conor McGregor".

Cocksure and uncouth, Conor McGregor was never afraid to defy authority.

"This is the last stunt on earth we would ever pull".

McGregor, a former lightweight and featherweight champion in UFC, has become one of the stars of his sport, best known for his antics and bravado leading up to fights. Presently out on bail, he faces three counts of assault and another on criminal mischief.

McGregor has been released on bail but has been ordered to return to NY on June 14 for his next court hearing, along with teammate Cian Cowley who was also charged. Bail was set for Cowley at $25,000.

White accused the Irish star and other men of "storming the building" on Thursday.

White also was sure to mention the financial gains of Saturday's fight, essentially calling McGregor's attack little more than a footnote.

"This is the most disgusting thing that has happened in the history of the company", White told reporters.

A spokemans for the NYPD told SB Nation they are looking for McGregor and want to talk with him after he apparently fled the scene. He has reportedly earned about $35 million from cumulative fight earnings and endorsements before his hyped bout with boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Their matchup was one of the richest boxing bouts of all time.

While was clearly initially quite frustrated with McGregor, their relationship already seems to have improved.

Conor McGregor's rampage at the UFC media event rocked many of his fans and the MMA world.

White said the fracas was not prompted by McGregor getting stripped of his lightweight belt this week but rather by previous bad feelings between McGregor's camp and Nurmagomedov, the Russian fighter scheduled to face Holloway for McGregor's vacated belt in Saturday's main event. She ordered McGregor to stay away from them and noted that includes social media messages.
