But despite the buzz around the new baby boy we are still yet to officially hear the name of the little Royal.
Since the prince was born on Monday, William has stoked anticipation, promising well-wishers: 'You'll find out soon!'
Carole, who's known for being very hands-on with her grandchildren, also picked up Prince George from school. Family and close friends called him "Bertie". "They don't need permission but they will want to run it by her", Andrews said. "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well".
Her daughter's attitude to life is widely believed to influenced by her mother. "Is it just me that thinks the new prince can not be named Albert??".
Pippa was wearing a pink coat and a plush oversized pink sweater for her first meeting with her newest nephew. Dressed comfortably in a pink coat and oversized pink turtleneck, she was all smiles when photographed by awaiting paparazzi.
The Queen was out horse riding in Windsor at the time of birth, and will likely visit the newborn in the coming days. She's now staying there while her husband, Prince Philip, recovers from hip surgery.
Nina replied: "Congratulations - you're managing to eat a meal after giving birth and it appears your baby isn't trying to stop you!"
The Daily Mail noted that each member of the family has his or her own special page that can be accessed by typing in their names or titles after the site's URL. But when it comes to announcing their third baby's name, the wait is longer than usual.
Queen Victoria used to insist that the name Albert be used as a middle name, if not a first, in honour of her beloved consort Prince Albert.
But after Wednesday's conversation, Alexander is gaining the most popularity among the other royal baby names.
