Barca two games away from unbeaten season, Real lose to Sevilla

A much-changed Real Madrid side suffered a 3-2 defeat against Sevilla on Wednesday, on a night to forget for their captain.

"I think we've got a really good chance", the new Rangers manager told Sport360.

Madrid were two down at half-time thanks to efforts from Wissam Ben Yedder and Miguel Layun, before Sergio Ramos missed a penalty and scored an own goal to make it 3-0.

Borja Mayoral headed home on 87 minutes, and Ramos then scored from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time after Theo Hernandez had been pushed over.

It was not just Real Madrid who were wasting their opportunities, however, as some superb individual trickery from Ben Yedder was undone after Layun shanked his shot into the crowd behind Kiko Casilla's goal.

The last time they won the Champions League was two years earlier, when Gerrard played an instrumental role on a memorable night against AC Milan in Istanbul.

"Madrid can not let this chance slip - finals are to be won, not played and Real Madrid know what is at stake".

Meanwhile, the defeat to Joaquín Caparrós's men leaves the Los Blancos three points behind second place Atletico Madrid on the La Liga table.

Real Madrid rested several first team players as Zinedine Zidane rotated his squad ahead of the Champions League final and were made to suffer against a rival who have not won both their matches since Joaquin Caparros returned to the club.

The Premier League giants are the highest scorers in this season's competition, netting 46 times thanks to their devastating attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Real Madrid have since turned their attention to Saturday's match against Celta, the last game this season at the Bernabéu.
