LeBron James turns in all-time performance in Cleveland Cavaliers' Game 6 victory

James led all scorers in this one, finishing with 46 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, and he hit the dagger in this one.

James scored 25 points in playing every minute of the first half, when the Cavaliers absorbed the blow of losing Kevin Love to a possible concussion and then out-scored the Celtics 34-18 in the second quarter to take control of the game.

With Korver on the bench until the second quarter, LeBron James and Kevin Love had to carry a heavier-than-normal burden, and neither got much help from their teammates. Another flawless performance by James should open up opportunities for the rest of the Cavs, continuing Boston's road struggles and extending the series.

Game 7 of the series is Sunday night in Boston, with the victor meeting either Houston or Golden State in the NBA Finals.

Game 6 of the series tips off at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. There is Michael Jordan, there is LeBron James, and there is no one else. You have to be ready for a dogfight.

"Hopefully I'll get myself in a position to play great once again on Sunday".

Cleveland led for most of the last 2 1/2 quarters, although the Celtics made things interesting in the fourth quarter when they cut the deficit to seven on multiple occasions.

"We can't just rely on us being at home for an excuse that it's going to be easy".

"We've been talking about it for a while now, but we have the blueprint", Lue said.

The series is where it is because the Celtics won Game 5 96-83, even though they shot just 36 percent from the field. In his previous elimination game, a month ago here against IN, he had 45 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. The Cavaliers made 15 turnovers compared to eight for the Celtics. They've all invested an incredible amount of time, effort and team-ness into this. There was something different - nearly emotional - however, about his effort on Friday in a game in which his co-star, Kevin Love, played in just five minutes due to a first-quarter collision.

"Best player in the game", Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. He has played 16 games thus far though the Cavs record is well below those Bulls at 10-6. He scored five of his seven points in Game 5 from the free throw line.

Continuing the series' weird home/road differences, George Hill gave the Cavs an injection of playmaking.

James had himself one of those nights, shooting 10-for-17 from outside the paint (where Boston wants him shooting from) on his way to 46 points.
