'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Will End After Season 4 & a Wrap-Up Movie

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 4 is set to premiere via Netflix in two parts.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 4 is nearly here, but it'll be the series' last hurrah.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the first ongoing original half-hour comedy series to debut on Netflix, has been among the streaming giant's most acclaimed shows. Upon being released from her personal prison, Kimmy hilariously tackles the world with a wide-eyed enthusiasm. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was created by Tina Fey (30 Rock) and Robert Carlock (30 Rock), who serve as executive producers with Jeff Richmond (30 Rock) and David Miner (30 Rock, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). She moves into an apartment with aspiring actor/singer Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess) owned by eccentric landlady Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane) and finds a job as a nanny for socialite Jacqueline White (Jane Krakowski).

Deadline first reported the series ending. The plan wasn't always for season 4 to be the final season, but everyone involved reportedly felt it was the right time to end the series. Although in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's case, everyone seems to be on board with the wrap-up from the start.

However, fans of the highly positive, cheerful and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt may be in for a treat if the rumors are true that the show will be turned into a movie.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 4, Part 1 premieres on Netflix May 30th.

Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is set to conclude following its upcoming fourth season, according to reports. The remaining seven episodes will air at a later date.

The fourth season will be followed by a movie that should tie up any loose ends in the story.
