Suspects in N.J. custody in killing of Bronx teen

The NYPD and the Bronx district attorney said Tuesday that an eighth person is under arrest in connection with the stabbing death of a 15-year-old boy in the Bronx.

Eight men have been connected in connection to the murder, CBS News reports (including one who, the Post says, was caught thanks to his saggy pants), and disturbing surveillance footage has been unveiled showing Guzman-Feliz's final moments-in which he twice entered a store looking for help and was denied, Fox News reports.

Fifteen-year-old Guzman-Feliz was stabbed with machetes and knives one week ago in what police are investigating as a case of mistaken identity, according to sources.

He managed to escape and run one block to St. Barnabas Hospital, but it was too late. The suspects waived extradition in court on Tuesday and so will be extradited to NY to face the same charges as Alvarez, Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark said.

A vigil was held for him Monday.

The victim's brother in law Derek Grullon, 19, told the New York Daily News that he's received messages on Facebook from men claiming to be part of Trinitarios, a Dominican gang known for violence.

Yankees star pitcher CC Sabathia and singer Rihanna, among other celebrities, reacted with posts on social media expressing their condolences. The chief of detectives, Dermot F. Shea, said the case showed how the police and the public could work together to fight crime and violent gangs.

The crew - Danel Fernandez, Joniki Martinez, Jose Muniz, Jose Taverez, Manuel Rivera and Santiago Rodriguez - appeared in Passaic County Court in New Jersey on Tuesday. "He was a good and sweet kid", Leandra Feliz, his mother, said. "Their families are being threatened, children", she said.

"Can't stop thinking about this poor baby boy and how his family must feel right now", she wrote.

"They broke my heart - they killed my son, and they killed me at the same time", she said. They were all arrested in New Jersey on Sunday.

Garcia is expected to be arraigned tonight on murder, manslaughter and other charges, a spokesperson for the NYPD told ABC News.

Cardi B, who is from the Bronx, donated six thousand dollars under her real name Belcalis Almanzar; she also shared a post on Instagram saying: "The Bronx streets are ruthless".

The men are accused of attacking 15-year-old Lesandro, after dragging him out of a Bronx bodega. Another video clip shows him stumbling back inside the deli after the attack, bleeding, and a man behind the counter apparently ordering him out. At the time of this writing, the GoFundMe has raised over $161,000.
