Drake surprises 11-year-old heart surgery patient in Chicago

A little girl's birthday wish came true this weekend after rapper Drake paid her a visit while she waits in the hospital for a heart transplant. Her birthday wish - to meet Drizzy.

Sanchez and her cousin shared their own version of the popular "In My Feelings" challenge to the Lurie Children's Hospital YouTube channel, which you can view below.

Drake visited an 11-year-old girl who needs a new heart after a video showing her performing the Kiki challenge in hospital was posted online. It's no wonder Drake showed up to pose for pics, exchange autographs and rap one of her favorite songs together - "God's Plan". But she is still waiting for a new heart.

The youngster recorded her take on the viral In My Feelings Challenge which has seen people jumping out of a (slowly) moving vehicle and walking alongside to the lyrics "Kiki, do you love me?"

Since Drake was performing on August 18 - aka Sofia's 11th birthday - at The United Center in Chicago, it seemed like the ideal time for the two of them to meet. She also knew he was due in town as part of his Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour and recorded a message asking him to visit her while she's away from home. Sofia was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a condition that often leads to heart failure and need for heart transplantation in order to survive.

"I've been here for seven weeks and I just had open heart surgery because I have heart failure", said Sofia. Most often, it serves as a bridge to heart transplantation. In the last several years, Lurie Children's has recruited some of the top pediatric heart transplant specialists in the country.
