Liverpool fans troll Real Madrid man Sergio Ramos after Diego Costa challenge

The UEFA Champions League Final row between Real Madrid team captain Sergio Ramos and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has now entered its next round.

Liverpool centre-back Ragnar Klavan is close to joining Serie A side Cagliari in a £2m deal.

As reported by David Lynch of the Evening Standard, Jurgen Klopp failed to rule out the chance of the England global leaving on loan before the end of the month. He's fit which is very good, he's a very good football player and plays the position well. We are not in a financial need situation where we have to do that.

But Klopp says: "I didn't hear that anything is finally sorted".

Other players could also leave Liverpool this month, with the transfer window remaining open across Europe, as Klopp looks to trim his squad of fringe players who are keen to secure regular playing time.

'It was a victory that we had been looking for a long time, I am very happy, ' he said after the game.

The two Spaniards are known for being among the most aggressive players in world football, and they showed that once again on Wednesday night. Dejan is still injured but we have Matt Phillips and Fabinho can play the position as well, if we need. Can we give them the opportunity if he wants to leave?

Gomez partnered Van Dijk for the comprehensive 4-0 beating of West Ham in Liverpool's Premier League opener last week and Klopp hailed his qualities at centre-back.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the most obvious example of this with the young right-back given the opportunity to play in the absence of Nathaniel Clyne a year ago and taking that opportunity with both hands. "But we didn't get anything for it so far", he said. We are still in a process, we have to develop.
