Meghan Markle Reveals Her 'Something Blue' From Royal Wedding

Despite the fact that Harry is also good friends with Carter (she's his niece's godmother), the redheaded prince and Markle instead took a secret jaunt to Amsterdam, which might have been preferable to attending yet another wedding.

It's an especially fitting exhibit for her to visit now, as she and Prince Harry are heading to New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Australia next month for a royal visit.

And while the new royal couldn't be more different from her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, fans of the royal family couldn't help but compare the two women's debut solo engagements.

Her landmark visit - which will see her tour the "Oceania" art exhibition - fittingly comes exactly one year since she and Harry first went public with their relationship.

On Thursday, just a few days after the cookbook project was unveiled, Meghan hosted her first royal event at Kensington Palace to celebrate its launch.

Meghan Markleis flying solo for the first time. Voyaging will look at life on the water as revealed through the stories of indigenous navigation.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed the secret in a new documentary on her grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth called "Queen of the World".

Her Royal Highness will also meet the exhibition's curators and artists as well as descendants linked to the works displayed and view a short performance of Ngāti Rānana, a Māori cultural group.

The stunning Duchess of Sussex arrived in central London's Piccadilly for the opening of a major art exhibition this evening.

"Oceania" will run at the Royal Academy of Arts from 29th September - 10th December 2018.
