Ariana Grande and fiancé Pete Davidson have reportedly called it quits

In a statement to People, her team said: "Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend".

Davidson and Grande recently bought a home together and Grande named a song after him on her latest album.

In the wake of her last-second exit, creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels was able to get Kanye West to step in replace the singer just days before the show's taping.

That comes on the heels of Grande cancelling her scheduled appearance on the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live earlier this season. We're told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically. Grande is going through a hard time, particularly after the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller last month, and has canceled appearances at recent events.

Later in the show he joked that if they did break up, he'd be stuck working in United States supermarket K-Mart listening to Grande's song "Pete Davidson" on the speakers. Davidson has seemingly deleted his Instagram account yet again, and Grande hasn't posted for days. (Yes, she did.) And did Davidson say they adopted a baby pig and named it Piggy Smallz?

Grande was also happy to speak about her blissful life with Davidson.

But in recent weeks, Grande had struggled with the death of her ex-boyfriend rapper Mac Miller, who passed away from an apparent drug overdose in September. "I really can't wrap my head around it".

Grande's unexpected parting with Davidson after only 6 months of engagement has prompted a storm of memes, jokes, and GIFs; some of them quite noxious.

However, TMZ reports that following Mac Miller's death, the singer was an emotional wreck and realized a couple things.
