DNA Testing: We're All American Indians, Trump Proposes Personal Test of Warren

Warren released a video showing the results of a DNA test, which shows she nearly certainly has Native American ancestry, and co-host Sunny Hostin lamented that the senator felt compelled to undergo that process. Trump falsely denied ever making the offer and later said he would donate the money only if he can personally administer the genetic test. A large archive of university documents demonstrate that the hiring committees at Harvard Law School and the University of Pennsylvania viewed Warren as a white woman. The report estimates eight generations ago, specifically.
The result was that a "great majority of [Warren's] identifiable ancestry is European" but the test "also identified five genetic segments as Native American in origin at high confidence".
Professor Bustamante replies: "The facts suggest that you absolutely have Native American ancestry in your pedigree".
Outspoken conservative and two-time Academy Award-nominated actor James Woods (pictured above, far right) went after the Globe for needing to issue a correction to its report and for some questionable methods in determining the senator's heritage. Not a single editor stopped and said, "Wait, this actually proves she doesn't meet any possible standard for Indian ancestry".
A look at what's known about Warren and her Native American heritage. They date back to her 2012 Massachusetts Senate race against Republican Scott Brown, who accused her of being dishonest about her heritage to get a professional edge.
"I hope she's running for for president, because I think she'd be very easy".
Warren, an outspoken liberal Democrat who's long attracted the ire of conservatives, fell into Trump's crosshairs on the 2016 campaign trail.
But when pressed about her call for him to pay up, Trump turned defensive. Of all the high-profile Democrats said to be considering a run for president in 2020, the MA senator appears to be the most active sowing the seeds of a campaign, reaching out to candidates across the country and deploying staffers to early-voting primary states.
Some Democrats were critical of the timing of Warren's announcement.
She has said she is considering running for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2020.
Mr Trump's use of the name "Pocahontas" refers to a 17th century Native American woman who played a role in the English colony in Jamestown, Virginia.
"Professor Warren claimed that she was a Native American, a person of color", he said during a debate.
Trump since then has undertaken a strategy of soaking up political oxygen with a slew of extended TV interviews, call-ins, and rallies.
"I will give you a million dollars to your favourite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you're an Indian", he said.
What do you do with today's Warren news if you're a left-winger who wants to own Trump with very slight evidence of her native ancestry but who also, uh, doesn't want to revive "one-drop" thinking?
